  My wife and I had a good experience with Maronda Homes. Cindy Wilkinson was our onsite representative, and she was very passionate, informative, and courteous throughout the process.
  Our home was predicted to be finished in November 2017, but with Irma it had a slight delay and wasn't finished until December 2017.
  As a first-time home buyer, we were very excited to be building new as opposed to purchasing a 10+ year old home in the area.
  The negatives that we experienced with Maronda was that their attention to detail on the house was not very good. Since my wife and I were moving from Illinois, we could not afford to take time off to be physically present when it came time for inspections on the house, which resulted with moving in to a home that was not yet done. Our kitchen island has no kickplate at all, electrical outlet was left without a cover, the garage has a horrible smell (as if a critter died in the walls) that has been there since we moved in (it is to the point where we will not even park in the garage yet as we are afraid the smell will attach to a vehicle), and our kitchen cabinet doors are not in alignment with one another (the spots where they drilled holes to install them were clearly done by eye and were not measured for any consistency). However, with all that being said, we have been told that they will have these fixed, and I will be more than happy to increase my review by a star once this has happened.
  All in all, we are still very satisfied with our new home. Their homes are priced competitively, their online portal was nice for us to track the progress on the construction, and no homes in our subdivision had any damage from Hurricane Irma - which meant both the area that the subdivision is in and the construction of their homes is very reliable.
